That's funny, in a way, I think we already have and do

:)

I plan on transitioning from this life to the next warm in bed next to my love William in the year 2100. He tells me not to get too stuck on the date, cause we might want to live older than that (I will be 112 and he will be 115)  We fancy ourselves quite happy on earth and joyful in the universal changing processes.

How did you meet your partner?

Posted on Dec 22nd, 2008 by Kai Balance : seeker Kai Balance
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for December 22, 2008:

On the dancefloor, at a top 40 back to school hip hop party, new in town making new friends...top 40 usually is not my thing, but I hoped if I wore my phat pants maybe someone from my tribe might spot me.

I was prancing around learning to bootie dance when I see these two guys wiggeling their legs in a silly, not so hip-hop dance. I initially thought they were a really cute couple! They looked a little nerdy to me but we danced sort of a like.

A few minutes later the DJ started spinning some trance or techno. It was really bad, but I was so stoked to hear something new and started dancing really hard.

The two guys I spotted jumped in too, the three of us were kandistepping around and breakdancing, we got a little circle of people arond us watching.

We got three songs before the DJ went back to norm, when he was over I just ran to one of the kids yelling over the music "do you rave?!" "What?!" I remember we had huge smiles on our faces and he waved me over to the corner of the room.

I said something like, "nice dance moves!" and he started mumbeling someting about not knowing how to dance and just watching a lot of jet li movies to get his moves. I thought, "what a weird dork!" I remember shaking my head thinking he could dance however he likes as long as we have this much fun always. We usually do. :)

What do you want from our leaders?

Posted on Jul 12th, 2008 by Kai Balance : seeker Kai Balance
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for July 12, 2008:

I want world leaders, who live exactly as they expect us to.

I want to see a spiritual leader who actuallly follows the messages in the books he has read.

I want a "family values" politician to actually have some family values. (and some spiritual, economical, universal values aswell)

In general...I think the best leaders lead by example. Its a form of leadership that never directly touches anyone, but somehow inspires independent change.

A true leader dosn't dictate, and eventually, one who leads by example helps others to help themselves toward the same state of being.

I think the authoritarian and subordinate is the most dysfunctional relationship man has ever invented, and I think we are smart enough to reinvent this system, to what we all know is vastly more funcional.

A society without heirarchy, based on absolute respect and equality.

Obama!: voted! we did it! :D

What does healing mean to you?

Posted on Jun 19th, 2008 by Kai Balance : seeker Kai Balance
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for June 19, 2008:

For me, the first step of healing is pretty destructive. It's a lot like pouring hydrogen peroxide over a wound. I think there are parts of us that over time we grow so comfortable with, by the time we need to grow and change, we've maybe forgotten how. I usually find my deepest wounds are so simple, and yet, so far away from what consciously lies on the surface.  We learn so many lessons for survival on this short stint of life here, psychology knows, the biggest neurosis is not what we gather initially, but grows out of our tendency to hang on to old life tools we no longer need.

So, healing's a process, much like the rest of everything I see that involves a really perfect balance of chaos and peace. That is, if you're always pouring the peroxide on, you'll never get the time to heal.

On a side note, I think adopting the oh-so-epic title of "healer" for yourself can be risky business. Of course each of us have offered that good advise or the shoulder to cry on, but healing others (no, helping others heal themselves) can often distract us from the more primary transitions to tend to---our own. ;)

-I could use a ride home some days, or a car and some biodiesel

-It would be really cool, if you could tell me what you believe in, I'm a little confused myself so, another opinion might be inspiring

Nirvana

Posted on Feb 15th, 2008 by Kai Balance : seeker Kai Balance
"I am the story, I am the star you know...like the Big Dipper" ;)
~Felix da Housecat

A rockstar, is one who has reached Nirvana. There are many stars, each and every one of us is a form of beautiful energy ready to contribute, change and grow. A rockstar, is a yogi who has opened his or her 3rd eye, to channel infinate energy from the heavensand continues to remain grounded to our Earth.

I resolve to be happy, and to experience my life with both passion and objective. With enough hope to look to the future and smile. With enough love to forgive and grow.

Wishlist for Life (Law of Attraction)

Posted on Feb 5th, 2008 by Kai Balance : seeker Kai Balance

Hi :)

My names Kaikea and I work and live in a most beautiful home in Hawai'i. I live with my love in a little cabin we built togeather on my home island. We "own" our property. The weather is nice, we keep a garden for most of our vegis and have a few cats. We eat really delicious vegetarian food and are really healthy. (We get most of our exercise dancing, sometimes go bike riding togeather in the park) We live in abundance. Both of us are very prosperous people and we often find that we have more than enough. We work hard, play hard, rest and meditate daily. Our work is fulfilling and rewarding. We recreate in healthy, relaxing and invogorating ways.

We are happy, secure, independent, confident, loving people. We are surrounded by loving friends and family. Our coworkers and friends are talented and goal orientated, and complament our own skills and dreams in life.

We try to stay connected to our friends in person. If I have a cell phone it's independent of any calling plans, probably a "go phone" that's simple and fair.
We get our household energy from solar power.
We spend our time and energy wisely, and make every moment in life count!

I make or traid for all my cloths. We are very creative, and spend lots of time making art, music, reading and writing, dancing, learning. Our home is beautiful, we painted and decorated everything ourselves. I have a flower garden ourside. I plant a lot of herbs like lavender too.

We are well-educated, life-long learners. I'm a straight A student at the University. I have a double major degree in two fields of study that are absolutely perfect for me. I drive a cute lime green bio diesel car with an AMAZING stereo system.

I record vocal tracks and collaborate with excellent musicians who complament my skills. I write and record my own music. My music is heard and appreciated by many people.

We travle all over the world and throw great parties!

We live happily, and independently. Our lifestyle is inspiring to friends who wish to change the world for the better. We love our lives, and live every day in appreciation, joy, and love.

New Life

Posted on Feb 5th, 2008 by Kai Balance : seeker Kai Balance
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for February 05, 2008:

I'm proud of my highschool girlfriend Martha who's bringing a new life into this world in May. She's young like me and still in college...her due dates around finals week and I can only sigh and laugh because as long as I've known her she has always seemed to attempt the impossible with enough on her plate for three people. She's very proud, do-it-herself, and rarely asks for help (even when she needs it!)

There's a lot she's going to be learning very soon I'm guessing, but I'm proud that she takes all of her life situations so independently and with such determination.

Tsss Boom!

Posted on Feb 4th, 2008 by Kai Balance : seeker Kai Balance

I just wanted to write a few words in praise to electro culture

Is there any other genre of music that is basically completely free?

Look up electronica mixes on the internet and you will find thousands of DJs putting their stuff out there just to see what you think of it. No one wants your money for it, they want your approval...and your dance moves.

When Napster came out and I was a punk rocker I was amazed and dismayed to find that even my favorite anti-capitalist anarchy bands were complaining about us "stealing" their stuff. No one cared that we loved their art, that we heard their voice...it was about the bread.

A lot of parts of rave culture are really amazing this way. I hear that old school San Francisco ravers look just like your average cubical worker. Stick 'em in a tie and give that guy a briefcase right? Yes, but in the words of Special D:

"At the end of every week each one of us becomes a freak!"

It's like, in this scene, you get money for work, and decks... for play!

Peace, Doom and Apathy

Posted on Jan 30th, 2008 by Kai Balance : seeker Kai Balance

Borrowed my mom's car for school today. It was a beautiful morning in Hawai'i I must say. On my way home I was pumping gas into her car sort of laughing to myself that the pump I'm using already feels like some strange archaic object...

I love pumping gas actually. It's so grossly American isn't it? There she is, a cute like 120 pound punk in bell bottoms with pink hair sticking this phallic thing into the tank...

Yeah baby...build a nation on the dead body sludge on the previous leaders of the world.

So...I'm driving back, listening to Nofx worrying that the negative political lyrics are going to screw up my daily affirmations for peace or something when it hits me:

So what?

So what if we're doomed? Humans are so afraid to die...we're constantly fighting about it. We build huge nations and pump out the babies and kill each other off like the barbaric animals we all are, just to fulfill that instinctual need to pass on the genes. Sure, I want a baby but you know...if we die, it's all gonna be okay.

Life seems too important to take for granted, and spending all our lives being afraid of death is exactly what that is. It's exactly why we're dieing I'm sure. And really, I'm one of those creepy humans who doesn't really care either way if my species survives...as long as something survives, then it's a freaking miracle. And I'm sure, even if we manage to kill ourselves and half the life on Earth off something will survive. Or some other planet somewhere (The Universe is pretty infinite) life is happening. Life, is what we love isn't it? I know I enjoy my share of green grass every day.

I'm not afraid to die anymore. Because a fear of death just brings it closer. It's like Life knows you're not really appreciating her anymore, so why bother laying on the blessings?

I don't know if it's apathy, or just love but I think my peace is knowing that whatever happens to us, the fact that we ever existed in the first place is amazing, and I'm thankful for existence. If I died tomorrow, I'd like to die with a smile on my face knowing it was a beautiful day.
